benedict is such a brilliant actor. but i’m just saying that his character in atonement was just plain out creepy. and i applaud him to be able to execute it so well (also stating that he was disturbed by this character as well) and make the character even more…..disturbing.

I say that he’s beyond brilliant in this. Like Paul Marshall has a life of its own, outside the film version of Atonement. And that his brilliance is also the very reason why I can never be a cumberbitch. Because always, at the back of my head, I hear him say “Bite it, you have to bite it.” Probably even when he’s voicing in The Hobbit and eventually in Star Trek.
